Himachal Pradesh — the Devbhumi or “Land of the Gods” — is India’s beloved Himalayan playground. Best Time to Visit
- March – June — pleasant 15–28 °C. Ideal for sightseeing, paragliding, river rafting, apple-bloom season.
- December – February — peak snow season for Manali, Solang Valley, Kufri and Auli skiing.
- July – September — heavy monsoon and landslides. Generally avoided, except for Spiti (rain-shadow).
- October – November — crisp post-monsoon clarity. Perfect for trekking and photography.

How to Reach
By Air
Three regional airports: Bhuntar (KUU) for Kullu-Manali, Gaggal (DHM) for Dharamshala, and Shimla (SLV). The biggest hub is Chandigarh (IXC) — 4 hr drive to Shimla, 8 hr to Manali.
By Rail
Kalka (toy train to Shimla) and Pathankot (for Dharamshala/Dalhousie) are the main railheads. Both well-connected to Delhi.
By Road
